The Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society offers ESL classes for adults in a friendly, multicultural environment. Our students are immigrants, refugees, and international visitors from all over the world. Our ESL classes take place at our convenient downtown Victoria location Monday through Thursday.

Daytime Beginner and Intermediate/ Advanced Levels

  • Small class size – ranging from 8 to 14 students
  • Continuous enrolment (students can start at any time, if we have space)
  • Beginner classes are in the morning, Monday to Thursday
  • Intermediate / Advanced classes are in the afternoon, Monday to Thursday
  • Individualized homework programs. Students learn at different rates
  • Lessons include grammar, conversation, Canadian culture, listening, and writing skills as well as guest speakers on relevant topics
  • International students and visitors pay $265 per month (short enrolment terms are available)
  • Professional, experienced teachers
  • Volunteers available to help in the class
