The HR Solutions Project is a community-based research project that encourages businesses and employers to engage in an open dialogue on the challenges associated with a multicultural workforce. This is the first step toward creating a more inclusive workplace and competitive business, in the changing labour market demographic.
The third phase of the Human Solutions Project has two Advisory Committees: one is Employer/Employee Steering Committee (EESC), comprised of local employers and immigrants to Victoria. The other is Multicultural Advisory Committee (MAC), comprised of mainstream and immigrant workers. The purpose of the Advisory Committees is to help guide the research, through input and consultations.
These Advisory Committee members will provide input and suggestions for Phase III activities, such as the forum activities, multicultural workshop curriculum and facilitation plan, employer resource guide and HR newsletters.
The research team is highly appreciative for these opportunities to engage in informal discussion and garner ideas from individuals and businesses representative of the Victoria community at large.
