Dear Employers and HR Practitioners

Cultural diversity is one of the major factors that impact considerably on the success of hiring and retaining multicultural workers. Human Resource Solutions project of the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society provides local employers with Human Resource tools such as multicultural workshops, monthly newsletters, Resource Guide, and information sharing and networking. The project helps employers effectively deal with a multicultural workforce.

The Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society celebrated Workplace Diversity Celebration & Employer Resource Guide Launch on Friday, May 29th. A total of 24 local employers set up info table to showcase their business to either attract multicultural customers/clienteles or to recruit immigrant workers. The four-hour event attracted over 300 people. Over 100 copies of the newly published Employer's Resource Guide were distributed to local employers in both private and public sectors at this first Workplace Diversity Celebration event.
